- The W.O.R.D.S. Group
- Thank you for visiting the W.O.R.D.S. Group, a small group which will start at New Life Church in August, 2009. We meet once a week to critique manuscripts, discuss books about writing, discuss networking strategies, and pray together. We also attend writing seminars, conferences, etc. W.O.R.D.S. = "Writers of Richly Dreamt Stories." In addition, it is a double play on words... because not only will the group study writing, it will study The Word of God and how to incorporate that into writing. This is a writers group for novelists, short story writers, screenwriters, and playwrights. Non-fiction writers (biography, travel, etc.) who tell stories are also welcome. We prefer stories that have a strong Christian element reflected in the main character and/or the plot. Each meeting begins and ends with prayer. This is a Christian Writer's group through New Life Church, but we welcome anyone who is a writer (Christian or non-Christian, New Life Church, Woodman Valley Chapel, etc).
